Groups Join Forces For Worthy Cause By: Liam Connor
The Jasper FCA held their annual Operation Christmas Child event last week, where they packed a total of eighty-five gift boxes for kids across the world. Unlike in the United States, there are thousands of kids from all around the world that may only receive one box their entire life, so every single box that is made is very special. Several students, faculty, and other members of the Jasper community volunteered their time to help pack these boxes full of different clothing, hygiene products, coloring books and utensils, awesome toys, and a personalized note left in the box for kids in need. They also purchased and brought gifts and clothing for the boxes, and even provided food for all of the volunteers. Both of the High School boys and girls basketball teams also participated in the event along with the Jasper FBLA, who also provided food for everyone. It was a great night and we are so thankful for everyone who showed up and packed boxes for kids all across the world.
