NHS Stays Busy With Service Projects By: Dylan Storm
One of the virtues of the National Honor Society is to provide service for not only our school, but our community. On November 9th, the NHS members hosted their annual teacher appreciation breakfast, where they cooked and served the faculty and staff of the entire Jasper R-V School District. The breakfast consisted of several different things including bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, muffins, fruits, and breakfast casseroles, which the students themselves cooked.
The NHS members will be traveling to the Carthage Walmart on December 1st to ring bells. The money that is raised during the period of time they are there will be donated to the Salvation Army. They will be ringing bells from 10:00am to 2:00pm. These shifts will consist of four, thirty minute shifts, with a thirty minute break in between each shift.
Each year the Jasper National Honor Society, who is led by sponsor Mr. Daniel Osborne, strives to provide service for our school and throughout our community. This year has begun to be a successful year for the NHS. Through all the hard work and different projects it has shown that it is well worth your time to be in the National Honor Society.
