More Than The Score By: Dylan Storm
The goal of athletic teams is to have a successful season in the win-loss column. When teams struggle, it opens the opportunity for negativity and possibly questioning why they even play. The Eagle football team had a rough year on the playing field, but under the leadership of a quality coaching staff, the Eagles proved there truly is more than the score.

To make an impact off the field, members of the football team participated in various activities that allowed them to better themselves while providing a service to the community and school. Whether it was reading to elementary students on Friday game days, assisting in the student drop-off line, or helping serve breakfast in the cafeteria, football players made positive impacts throughout the school and served as great role models for younger students.
To make an impact in the community, members of the football team engaged in community workday. Players mowed, weedeated, trimmed trees, trimmed bushes, took out trash for people, and did other miscellaneous projects for people. This workday allowed football players to show their appreciation for a community that has supported the program throughout the years.

Each year our football program strives to achieve leadership, positivity, and success on and off the field. This year proved to be a rough year for the Eagles on the field, but they made up for it with all the success they had off the field. Through their service projects, helping throughout the school, and the volunteer work throughout the community proved there truly is more than the score.
